Stoller/Springville Crowding: Superintendent Jeff Rose opts to add portables, reroute Summa kids

The new elementary school in North Bethany with a projected completion date in Fall of 2018 will become the solution to overcrowding for Springville K-8. A portable building to accommodate an additional 2 classrooms is the planned solution for the 2015-2016 school year once it is approved by Washington County. The special education learning center will be temporarily moved to another school in the district for 2016-2017. Stoller Middle School will also be adding two modular classrooms to their current four on campus for the 2015-2016 school year. In 2016-2017, the new Summa students will be relocated to the new middle school scheduled to open in the fall of 2016 in Cedar Mill. These solutions for Springville and Stoller overcrowding came as recommendations to Superintendent Jeff Rose by a committee of parents whose children attend the schools.
