We are half way through April and spring weather is in full force. It’s a time for gardening, looking forward to summer break and of course, the farmer’s market! Starting May 4th at Orenco Station there will be a farmers’ market open every Sunday from 10am-2pm. You can count on a wide variety of produce as well as fresh flowers and live music. What Can 1 Million Dollars Get You?

A million dollars can go a long way depending on where you’re looking to buy. Oregon Live compared two different areas, North West Portland and Lake Oswego, to see what a one million dollar home looks like. NW Portland is a new, up and coming area with a lot of newer homes and shops. Lake Oswego is a more established area known for it’s upper end homes. The biggest difference between a one million dollar home in Lake Oswego versus NW Portland was the square footage. Home Values Expected to Rise

According to a group of more than 100 panelists, including economists, real estate specialists and investment strategists, believe home values are going to rise through the year 2018.  Many believe that real estate investors will begin to sell most of their income properties over the next 3-5 years. This will increase the amount of inventory in the real estate market and reduce the competition for buyers against “Cash rich” investors. They are also expecting a nationwide home value appreciation of nearly 4.5 percent this year. Both of these factors have led these panelists to believe home values will be on the rise for the next couple of years. For more information CLICK HERE

Pioneer Courthouse Square Celebrates 30 Years

On April 6th 2014 Pioneer Courthouse Square will be celebrating 30 years of being Portland “living room”. The square has been home to concerts, fairs, protests, street musicians, and art forums since it opened in 1984. They want to celebrate this anniversary with a free community sing-a-long lead by Portland musician Thomas Lauderdale. Specialty Ice Cream and Chocolate store in Hillsboro

Goody’s originated in central Oregon’s resort community Sun River in 1984.  Specializing in Ice Cream and chocolate, their stores feature a wide variety of sweet treats and ice cream flavors. Goody’s even has fresh made popcorn with flavors such as blue raspberry and peanut butter! Goody’s opened up their 1,500 square foot store just this last June in Hillsboro’s Orenco Station. Spring Break Whale Watch

Tualatin Valley Fire Station is on the Move

A new fire station is in the progress of being built on the corner of Evergreen street and Thompson road. North Bethany is Now a Reality

The plans for a north Bethany community has been in the works for a couple of years now. What was farm land and wooded hill side will soon be home to an estimated 10,000 new residents.
